Jody Tucker

Let's take a step back a few decades

Gave birth to my oldest daughter, Emily.

1994

Moved to Hopkins with my former husband to make a better life.

1995

Worked in administrative assistant positions and was the sole provider of my family. Gave birth to my 2nd daughter, Elizabeth "Lizzi".

1998

Moved around the Twin Cities area. Struggling to make ends meet. Thinking that things had to change. I wanted to provide more for my children.

1997

Demanded a better life. Two kids under 3 and spouse unemployed. Quit my full-time job and started working on my four-year degree at Augsburg College in Music Therapy.

1999

humble beginnings!

My Girls

Finished my music therapy internship at Park Nicollet, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Augsburg College

2003

Moved back to Duluth. Developed a music therapy position and an MT Internship program at Essentia/St. Mary's Hospice. Started a distance graduate degree program. Bought my first house!

2004

I married my best friend, Joe. We ran the Garry Bjorklund Half-Marathon on Saturday and married at Enger Park on Sunday.

2012

Graduated with my Master's in Arts Degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana.

2007

Resigned from Essentia/St. Mary's Hospice after 10 years to go full-time running Access Music Therapy, llc.

2013

That was a big year!

I do!

Went through a difficult divorce with my childrens' father.

2010

Created a product, received patent pending, and I sell it to music therapy professionals. It's called a Guitten.

2014

So much happened in the world and in my life. I became a Licensed MN Realtor, and "retired" from the music therapy business to focus on family and a new career in real estate. COVID hit three months later.

2019

I was building my real estate business and helping more clients. Endured the loss of my dad at the end of the year. He was a strong influence on my work ethic in life and business.

2021

Was a difficult year with losing my oldest daughter, Emily, at 27 years old. She was a loving, caring young woman and we miss her dearly. We are also raising our granddaughter from Lizzi. Violet is a wonderful little blessing that makes me smile so much! In November, I opened an Airbnb and obtained SuperHost status.

2022

I continue to grow and love my career in real estate. I've been involved in the MLS Committee in the past year, and recently joined the Government Affairs Committee. I am a Board member for University Nursery School organization in Duluth, MN. And, as of November, I have sold almost $2.4 million in real estate this year. My best year so far!

2023

New beginnings
